In the late 19th century, the skies over the Central Valley held a secret. It Happened in Lodi is an upcoming feature-length documentary from Chris Hampton that investigates the strange, historical account of Colonel H.G. Shaw.
More than just a film, this project is a community investigation into Lodi history. In conjunction with the documentary's production, we are hosting a special commemorative gathering in Lodi in November 2026,to mark the 130th anniversary of the encounter.
